Gouverneur in St. Barts is situated at the bottom of a steep road making it remote and quiet. There’s a nearby parking lot so the beach is accessible to a point. From there, you’ll have to make your way down a small, shady grove of trees to reach the beach. It’s said that the farther west you walk, the less crowded it will be.

 

Kiawah Island, USA

The East and West beach combined stretch for a whopping 10 miles along the Atlantic. Access to the public beach is through the Beachwalker County Park which at the island’s most southern end. The water is shallow, making it a great beach for kids.

Grace Bay, Turks & Caicos

Grace Bay is one of the most unspoiled beaches in Turks and Caicos, based in the main tourist centre. It’s regarded as the perfect mix of white sand and transparent waters. There’s also a fantastic coral reef which is excellent for snorkelling and diving. It gets quite packed in peak season, so it’s best to go a little after.

Baio Do Sancho, Brazil

Between the sparkling blue waters and sugary white sands, there’s nothing quite like the coast of north-eastern Brazil bay. It’s only accessible via boat or on foot via a winding dirt track.
