A Year of Travel, Collaboration & Innovation
2025 was a defining year at Trtl, marked by growth, experimentation and an ongoing commitment to improving the travel experience. As more people returned to regular travel patterns - whether for work, leisure, adventure or performance - we continued building solutions that support better rest, more organised packing and more enjoyable journeys.
With new collaborations, licensing partnerships, public activations and industry conversations, the year reinforced Trtl’s place within a rapidly evolving travel landscape.

Celebrating 12 Years of Comfortable Travel
In October we celebrated twelve years since Trtl’s founding. The company began with a single idea: that travel sleep could be more supportive and less awkward, especially on long-haul flights. That concept led to the original Trtl Travel Pillow, which quickly became a favourite among frequent travellers seeking a more ergonomic alternative to traditional inflatables.
Over the past twelve years the product range has expanded beyond sleep to include accessories that organise, protect and streamline travel. Today our products accompany millions of travellers on everything from weekend city breaks to long-distance expeditions. Looking back on twelve years of development, we remain proud of both the progress and the purpose driving it.

Collaborations That Inspired Us
Chris Burkard x Trtl
In 2025 we launched our second collaboration with Chris Burkard Studio. Burkard is known worldwide for capturing remote landscapes and encouraging a deeper relationship with travel and exploration. The collaboration brought together graphic elements inspired by the natural world with functional gear intended for real travel scenarios.
This partnership helped connect Trtl with outdoor-oriented communities who often travel with both purpose and intensity. The response highlighted how central comfort and rest can be, even for travellers who prioritise adventure.

Kacie Rose x Trtl: Amalfi-Inspired Essentials
Earlier in the year we partnered with travel creator Kacie Rose to produce limited-edition Packing Pods featuring a print inspired by Italy’s Amalfi Coast. Kacie’s work focuses on accessible cultural exploration, and the collaboration reflected a growing appetite for travel gear that feels expressive as well as practical.
The pods quickly resonated with travellers who value visual identity and organisation in equal measure. The collaboration reinforced how aesthetics can influence the emotional side of travel preparation, making the journey feel considered before it even begins.

Expanding Licensed Travel Products
One of the most significant developments in 2025 was the expansion of our licensed product category. We introduced designs with globally recognised sporting organisations including the All Blacks, the British & Irish Lions and Major League Baseball. These partnerships speak to the deep intersection between travel, performance and recovery. Elite athletes understand the importance of restorative sleep and physical comfort, often travelling across multiple time zones during competitive seasons.
These collaborations also broadened Trtl’s reach, connecting with audiences who may not have traditionally engaged with travel accessories but who identified with team culture, athlete discipline or sports travel.

Events and Community Engagement
The final quarter of the year was one of our most active for community engagement. Team members travelled to Edinburgh to film a street challenge at the Christmas markets, inviting passers-by into playful and informative interactions around travel habits and knowledge. The initiative provided an opportunity to listen directly to customers outside the airport environment.
We also participated in creator and commerce events including TikTok Shop activities in Orlando, helping us better understand how travellers discover, compare and purchase travel products in real time. These engagements across different cities and channels provided valuable insight into the shifting expectations of modern travellers.

Exploring Travel, Rest and Performance
Another focus this year was exploring how rest impacts performance across different industries. A standout moment was our conversation with Scottish Ballet, where we discussed the role high-quality rest plays in the demanding routines of professional performers. Ballet dancers frequently travel for tours and performances, making proper recovery essential to both wellbeing and artistry.
This perspective reinforced something we hear frequently from travellers: rest is not simply a comfort preference, but a performance input. From athletes to dancers to business travellers, there is a shared need to arrive prepared, restored and fully present.

Looking Ahead to 2026
As we move into 2026, we remain focused on innovation within travel comfort and organisation. New product developments, category expansions and future collaborations are already underway, alongside an ongoing commitment to sustainability, durability and user-focused design. We are excited to continue building products that support better travel, not only in transit but throughout the entire journey.
At its core, Trtl exists to make travel easier. The past year has reaffirmed this purpose, and we look forward to shaping the next era of travel comfort alongside the communities who use our products.
